Week 6: Problem/Solution Essay

Overview

Welcome to week 6 of our writing course. In this week’s lessons we are going to learn all about problem-solution essays including their structures and the proper use of transition words.  We are also going to learn how to craft and analyse strong essay questions. In the following lessons we are going to discuss how to write an introductory paragraph, thesis statement, body paragraph and a conclusion paragraph for a problem-solution essay. These lessons will guide you on how to write about problems and their solutions. Finally, in the last lesson of week 6, we will focus on how to develop unity and cohesion in your body paragraphs. The activities and videos in these lessons will help you to identify topic sentences and transition words for problem-solution essays.
