Course Conclusion

We have concluded our eight-week, academic writing course, where we covered basic concepts related to paragraph and essay structure, and we have also given you some tips and suggestions on how to approach different aspects of the writing process. Remember that writing requires practice to develop. It is, however, an important skill that many of you will need to apply, not only in your academic studies but also in your professional life.

More than being just something that you are required to do in order to pass exams or complete work-related tasks, academic writing can teach you how to analyze and critically evaluate all sorts of texts. Learning how to write clearly and present evidence for your opinions is a skill with many indirect benefits. It increases your creativity by helping you discover alternative ways to express your ideas, and at the same time, it can improve both your reading skills and, of course, it can dramatically improve your speaking.
